  Our department has gone through a few changes since the last update.  In February we took on five new Probationary Firefighters to fill the spots left by past members who have recently retired or moved on to different opportunities. 

We would like to welcome Ron Moore, Mike Turner, Roger Bradley, Chris Geiger, and Dave Rogerson to Ladysmith Fire/Rescue, and to a new and exciting career!

Deputy Chief Jamie Svendsen has accepted a new position as Deputy Chief of Training and Operations with the Big White Fire Department in BC's interior.  Swannie, we all wish you the best in your new career.  You will be greatly missed but we know that Big White is getting one of the best.  Congratulations, and we'll see you on the ski hill!
